First 29g Nano-Reef
This is my 29g nano-reef that lasted almost 2 years before it was overtaken by Xenias.. that and I got a bit lazy and neglected to do what I should have done and trimmed the Xenias back. The 29g tank was very close to my kitchen and when I had the kitchen floor tile replace, the demolition sent an enormous amount of dust into the tank (and everywhere else!) which caused the levels in my tank to go crazy! The corals were stressed after this happened and started to "melt". Being my first nano-reef.. I have to admit, I didn't do it right at all as it had no filtration except for the live rocks. What I should have done to save the tank was a daily 10-15% water change until the levels were back to normal.. but that didn't happen and the tank eventually crashed and I lost everything but 1 species of zoas and the porites on the xmas tree rock. RIP.

Here's a close up pic of the Xenias growing everywhere! even the glass!
